What better way to celebrate those working the hardest than to give them much-needed time off?

From doctors and nurses to bus drivers and mail carriers, the essential workers helping to fight the spread of COVID-19 are undoubtedly the heroes during this trying time. They’ve been working tirelessly to make sure the world stays safe and healthy, and that things continue to operate as close to normal as possible. And that’s precisely why Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection wants to celebrate them. The luxury cruise line just announced they are planning to give away 25 complimentary 7-night European river cruises for two to “unsung heroes.”

From now until July 31, Uniworld’s travel advisor partners and all past guests of Uniworld have the opportunity to nominate an everyday hero. This is someone who “has left a lasting impression by putting the needs of their community first during this COVID-19 pandemic,” according to Uniworld CEO Ellen Bettridge. You can nominate first responders, medical professionals, bus drivers, delivery people, grocery clerks, and volunteers who have been working hard during the pandemic.

Simply fill out an online form stating the nominee’s occupation during the COVID-19 response and why you are nominating them. You have the option to upload a picture and video as well to add more color to why this person is so special. Uniworld will then choose 25 elected honorees to receive one complimentary stateroom with a guest on any 7-night, 2021 or 2022 European river cruise on Uniworld or U by Uniworld, excluding Portugal.

“In these extraordinary times, Uniworld would like to celebrate the unsung heroes who make it possible for us to be home because they aren’t,” said Bettridge, in a statement. “We want to express our eternal debt of gratitude to these essential workers who are keeping us healthy, in body and spirit: the doctors and nurses, bus drivers and mail carriers, delivery people and grocery clerks, volunteers and first responders who have forged on despite their risk.”
