At the 21c Museum Hotel in Louisville, Kentucky, a sculptural installation called Asleep in the Cyclone, by New York artists Jonah Freeman and Justin Lowe, doubles as a suite. The room celebrates the 1960s Colorado artist commune Drop City, from the lime floor cushions and paneled walls to the record player and vinyl collection. But it’s the harlequin ceiling—the love child of light-up disco floors and the geodesic domes of architect Buckminster Fuller—that makes it an artwork to get in bed with. Suite starts at $300; 700 W. Main St.; 502-217-6300; 21cmuseumhotels.com.
