8 Hotels with Alluring Signature Scents

There’s nothing like a signature scent to leave a lasting impression. From the green tea spray at the Ritz-Carlton in Kyoto to the intoxicating candles of La Mamounia in Marrakech, these ten hotels use the power of fragrance to make your stay unforgettable.

The Setai, Miami Beach

To keep this Miami Beach boutique property fragrant, master perfumer and fragrance historian Roja Dove created a signature scent out of Florida's claim to fame: the orange. Neroli, oil derived from the bitter orange tree blossom, constitutes a refreshing base that mingles with such rarified ingredients as jasmine de grasse, provence rose and litsea cubeba (an ever green shrub grown in China for its medicinal qualities). Geranium, clove leaf and lemongrass bring an edgy twist to this bespoke scent, which launched in December last year. A consistent presence throughout the hotel thanks to burning candles and bathroom amenities offered in the hotel's suites, guests who cherish the fresh fragrance can also bring it home (candles for $125).
