Eat: Tupelo

Opened in December 2015, Tupelo is Park City’s newest addition to the fine-dining scene. Located in an historic 1925 building featuring exposed brick and hardwood floors, the space manages to mix farmhouse charm with a modern, industrial feel. Chef Matt Harris sources artisan ingredients from across the nation—many from small producers he has met over the years during cross-country travel—to create an eclectic menu that nods to his southern roots: Pan-roasted elk with baked beans and candied dates and seared Maine scallops with a celery root puree. (Make sure you save room for the warm whiskey apple cake with cumin-spiced caramel, pumpkin praline, brown sugar, and molasses ice cream.) Tupelo will be offering a special daytime menu with extended hours during Sundance, from 10 AM–3:30 PM, with snacks like deviled eggs with country fried ham and salmon benedict to keep you fueled throughout the festival. 508 Main St.; 435-615-7700;
