For the maximalists, there's Jaipur's kaleidoscopic Bar Palladio 12-seater room and Wing Lei's gold-leaf studded "The Imperial" room in Las Vegas seating 13 for Michelin-star Cantonese, Shanghai, and Szechuan cooking. New Yorkers and Londoners have plenty of sophisticated options when it comes to great private dining rooms in the city's most in-demand restaurants, here we pick some of the most unique of the lot, from a Pie Room in Holborn to a theatrically hidden room in a new seafood restaurant in Gramercy Park.

Bar Palladio, Jaipur
Step into a peacock-blue dreamscape in Jaipur's 12-seater Bar Palladio dining room. The hand-panted room mixes Italian Renaissance design with Mughal architecture and serves Italian fare and aperitivo cocktails.

The Pie Room at Holborn Dining Room, London
Dedicated to one of Britain’s most loved dishes, this unique private dining room inside Holborn Dining Room sits 10 and serves spruced up savory pies (no pecan or cherry here, folks). Come hungry to sit in this enchanting setting and pick from two menus specially tailored by Executive Head Chef Calum Franklin, including a five-course Pie Tasting Menu available from $130 per person or $195 per person with pairing wines.

Wing Lei at the Wynn, Las Vegas
When in Vegas, it's time to do over-the-top dining. And Wing Lei's private dining room "The Imperial" is the place to do it if you're craving Chinese flavor. Expect extra decadence in the private dining room for 13 that's tucked inside the first Chinese restaurant in the U.S. to earn a Michelin star.

The Red Room at Mister Paradise, New York
Hidden inside East Village cocktail bar Mister Paradise, The Red Room is a secluded space saturated in...red. Come to this playful, colorful space for inventive cocktails (we're partial to the "party lobster" made with blanco tequila, mezcal, Campari, watermelon, lime, fermented habanero, and garlic) and some of the best burgers in town.

The Platinum Arowana Room at Scott's, London
For a very special occasion, make for the recently opened Platinum Arowana Room inside London's second oldest restaurant and supposed famed site of Ian Fleming’s discovery of the dry martini “shaken, not stirred”. Everything about the new space which sits six to eight people is decadent. The floor features green, semi-precious stones and artworks hung on the wall are by none other than Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Joan Miró, Émile Bernard and Marc Chagall.

Ristorante Cracco, Milan
We've waxed poetic about why Michelin-starred chef Carlo Cracco's Ristorante Cracco has taken Milan’s dining scene by storm. Set in historic Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, right next to the Duomo Cathedral, the restaurant's private room has its own exclusive entrance from the courtyard and oozes theatrics—and an impressive 1920s Levanto marble bar counter.

Lumaca, New York
Wander behind a large, unmarked oak door at the far end of HGU New York's lobby to find Lumaca. An elegant dining room serving relaxed coastal Italian cuisine with a cozy Calacatta marble fireplace, black and white photographs by American photographer, Anton Perich, and an original 1905 beaux-arts plasterwork ceiling from when the hotel was first built.

Noma, Copenhagen
Gathering 19 of your closest friends might be your ticket into this notoriously tricky reservation in Copenhagen. Noma's adjacent private dining room has room for 20 and is just as light and open as the rest of the restaurant.

Sketch, London
Central London's popular all-pink-everything space Sketch (one of our favorite afternoon tea's in the city) is also the place to go for an aesthetically-pleasing (and three-Michelin-starred) private dining experience. The new private dining space, Millicent Fawcett, is decorated in rich reds and pinks and sits eight people inside The Lecture Room & Library, it's named after suffragist who gave a speech there in 1869.

é by José Andres at The Cosmopolitan, Las Vegas
One of the toughest and most coveted reservations in Las Vegas, é by José Andrés sits nine and can be booked up to three months in advance. The intimate restaurant is tucked away in a small private room adjacent to Jaleo’s bustling bar and paella grill inside The Cosmopolitan hotel.
