Dining in Dubai ranges from fine dining restaurants run by world renowned chefs to incredible casual joints operated and patronized by the immigrants from other areas of the Middle East, South Asia, and Africa who call the diverse city home. The casual end is dominated by traditional, authentic eats from around the east, while the high-end scene is marked by the insatiable local appetite for the newest, biggest, and best from around the world. Though liberal, the UAE is a Muslim country, so sale of alcoholic beverages is limited to venues inside hotels, which is why most fine dining restaurants are housed within luxury properties.
