There are a couple of options when it comes to Marrakech travel: be immersed in the city amid Berber music and colorful markets, or explore it by day and escape to the city outskirts by night. The benefits to bedding down away from the crowds are manyfold, including serenity, privacy, and space. This particular property, Villa Talal, offers the added bonus of a backyard, which is dotted with palm trees and has a sizable pool. Plus, bookings made through January 2020 include VIP airport lounge passes, a welcome hamper, and a discounted private chef-prepared meal.

Located about six miles from the city of Marrakech, Africa's 2020 capital of culture, Villa Talal features three bedrooms and three bathrooms, along with a spacious kitchen, a lounge with a fireplace, and a dining area with seating for six. Interiors have an elegant modern vibe, combining shades of tan and terracotta with bold-colored and patterned accents. Bedrooms tout royal blue or purple throws, for example, and the living room has a cowhide rug. Keyhole-shaped doorways and Moroccan-style lanterns enhance the atmosphere, and large windows allow in plenty of sunlight.

The outdoor space is dreamy and quiet. Recliners line the lawn around the pool. A covered patio offers plush seating. Silver tea carafes and colorful glasses adorn tiled tables. And all of this overlooks the yard, which offers shady and sunlight-bathed areas in equal measure. Nature aside, the villa also includes TVs in all rooms, daily cleaning service, and a Nespresso machine. All-inclusive and half-board stays are available, as are butler and chef services.

Picturing yourself poolside, after a day spent exploring the Medina? has the rundown on everything that Villa Talal has to offer, as well as booking information.
