It’s not uncommon for families to rent a vacation home to relax and enjoy some space for a couple of weeks. But one estate is so stunning, it’s been made available to rent for an entire year starting in 2020. The cost of yearlong access? $1 million.

So, you’re probably asking, “Why wouldn’t I just buy a vacation home at that price?” Well, because the seven-figure asking price is actually quite a deal. First, the Estate at Kingsmill is located in arguably one of the most beautiful locations in America within the gated, manicured grounds of Kingsmill Resort on the James River in Williamsburg, Virginia. It’s here where Pocahontas once walked, and the British settlers set foot in 1607.

The actual home where you will live was initially built as the private mansion for the Busch family of Budweiser Beer and Busch Gardens fame. Now, after a stunning $3 million renovation, Kingsmill Resort is offering you the opportunity to live a lifestyle of luxury. And that starts with an incredible space to call home.

Upon entering, you’re greeted by a foyer composed of gilded mirrors that cascade down the stairwell to create an endless reflection. Then all the common spaces are outfitted with distinctive furnishings, lighting, décor, and textiles like hand-knotted rugs by acclaimed designer Ben Soleimani. Each of the four ensuite master bedrooms has views of the river from king-sized beds complete with RH’s Italian 1,000-thread-count luxe sateen linens by famed Florentine textiles artisan, Carlo Bertelli. And all the bathrooms feature custom freestanding soaking tubs and luxe Turkish cotton towels.

But you get more than just a 7,000-square-foot residence. Also included are two Denali SUVs and golf carts during your entire stay; an on-call estate manager to serve as your personal concierge and planner for activities and tours throughout the Greater Williamsburg area, a private chef, $50,000 in food and beverages, unlimited golf, fitness center, housekeeping, and more.

Plus, given the estate usually rents for about $5,000 to $6,000 a night (it sleeps eight), the math works out to be a bargain for the yearlong rental.
