Next Level World Travel: Private Jet Itineraries Are Taking Off

As the demand for bespoke, one-of-a-kind travel experiences skyrockets, luxury trips designed around the use of private jets are becoming de rigueur for granting guests no-holds-barred access to the world at large.

Aman Resorts and Remote Lands launched their first private jet expedition in October 2015. Based on the popularity, they now offer two jet trips a year, one in March and one in October. The 18-day itinerary allows travelers to visit logistically daunting destinations, including China, Bhutan, India, and Sri Lanka while traveling aboard two Gulfstream G200 private jets. All touring during the trip is private and each of the eight couples has their own private car, driver, and guide. The entire group comes together for cocktail parties, dinners, and lunches with local influencers, like famous Sri Lankan artists and designers, in special venues such as the private residence of the royal family in the City Palace in Jaipur. An Aman junkie’s dream, the itinerary includes stays in eight of the brand’s resorts in Beijing, Lijiang, Thimphu, Paro, Ranthambhore, Galle, and Tangalle, and grants guests privileged access to local sites, including visits to off-limits areas of Beijing’s Forbidden City and a yoga session in the ancient city ruins of Bhangarh in Rajasthan.
