Dreamy International Destinations to See 'Living Coral'—Pantone's 2019 Color of the Year
Whether you're planning a trip or just dreaming over lust-worthy destinations, these are the places that should be top of mind.

As 2018 comes to a close, so does "Ultra Violet's" reign as Pantone's Color of the Year. And this year's new color trend is all about "Living Coral"—a bright and lively shade of orange.
Pantone Color Institute is celebrating their 20th anniversary of announcing the upcoming year's most trendy shades, and this time around opted for a color a bit more "vivifying" than last year's more subdued violet shade—although, we'll definitely miss it.

"Living Coral emits the desired, familiar, and energizing aspects of color found in nature," said the Institute's announcement. "In its glorious, yet unfortunately more elusive, display beneath the sea, this vivifying and effervescent color mesmerizes the eye and mind. Lying at the center of our naturally vivid and chromatic ecosystem, Pantone Living Coral is evocative of how coral reefs provide shelter to a diverse kaleidoscope of color."
This year's clear connotation with nature is an inspiring choice, especially as concerns over the health of coral reefs remain an ever-present international conversation. It's a celebration of an important aspect of the world's beauty, and a reminder to cherish the artistry around us.
In the Institute's announcement, "Living Coral" was described as an "animating and life-affirming shade of orange with a golden undertone symbolizing our innate need for optimism and joyful pursuits." And there's no more joyful pursuit than packing your bags and heading out to explore everything that the world has to offer. From coral reefs filled with an array of beautiful colors to desert skies, a spectrum of subtle hues.
So, in celebration of this year's "effervescent" shade, we've compiled a list of dreamy destinations that are an ode to our new favorite color.
