Private jets have become the travel method of choice amid the coronavirus pandemic. But with some countries restricting visitors and travelers generally wary about long-haul trips, quick trips to more local destinations have become a preferred solution to quick access to safe havens. That’s why Magellan Jets is now offering helicopter service to spots like Nantucket, Boston, New York City and the Hamptons.
In direct response to the high demand for safe transportation on specific summer routes, the private aviation company partnered with AAG helicopters, operators of the largest fleet of Sikorsky S-76 helicopters in New York. Together they are bringing back the popular 10-hour Sikorsky helicopter card.
Based on routings that either begin or ends in New York, the 10-hour card includes availability to Nantucket, the Boston Area, The Hamptons, Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, Maine, and Washington, D.C. The fixed hourly, point-to-point pricing is $128,362.80, and all flights are exempt from the 7.5% federal excise tax for the remainder of 2020. Airport transfers to and from any New York City area airport are also included.
As far as the actual trip goes, expect a luxurious flight. These premier helicopters are used by Fortune 100 companies and heads of state for executive travel. Each one features a spacious cabin with seating up to five and a nearly soundproof cabin, so no headsets are required. Additionally, the company follows enhanced protocols like the use of PPE by personnel and passengers, updated hygiene and sanitation, social distancing protocols, and symptom checking to ensure everyone's safety.
And if you want to guarantee a safe getaway once in the destination, Magellan Jets can arrange a yacht charter in Nantucket or the Hamptons trip. The company partnered with IYC Yachts to make the process seamless. Simply hop off the helicopter and on to your waiting yacht.
