It's no secret that everyone on the team behind Departures is a big fan of globetrotting. Some of us have been in the industry for just a few years; some for decades. When we're not busy writing, editing, and producing content to share with all of you, we like to chat about our own travel dreams—of which there are many.
Each month, we will be publishing a series called How We Travel. These articles will be a peek into the minds' of our editors. We'll cover topics like bucket list destinations, products that we always keep in our carry-on, people we've met on our travels that we'll never forget, and much more.
First up: the number one destinations on our bucket lists. Want to know something specific? Send your ideas to @departuresmag.

I've been itching to take a couple of weeks to explore the vibrant cities and small towns throughout Morocco—more of a wish at the moment since my wife and I just welcomed twin girls to our already hectic household. But I can always dream. Right? From bustling Marrakesh to colorful Chefchaouen, the coastal city of Essaouira to history-filled Meknes, a trip through this beautiful country would be amazing. My plan: Fly into the south of Spain, spend a few days before crossing over the Straight of Gibraltar and just make my way south, photographing everything along the way. I'm not one to collect souvenirs when I travel but I take plenty of pictures. The vivid mix of colors and unmatched energy of this country would make for some pretty spectacular shots. One day when my girls are a bit older, maybe we'll plan a family trip and make this a reality.

Hawaii and the Philippines: Ellie Nan Storck, Associate Digital Editor
I grew up hearing the most romantic stories from my grandfather about his years as a commander for the US Navy in Honolulu (1940s) and Manila (1950s). He brought back so much beautiful furniture and many pieces of art from his time stationed there. To this day, my favorite reading spot is a rattan chair and coffee table set that he passed on to me; it was made in the Philippines while he lived there. It’s my dream to go to both places and explore the same towns that he lived in decades ago.
Puglia is such a hot destination right now, and I want to go for all the obvious reasons—a gorgeous coastline, picture-perfect villages, delicious food. But I’m also dying to see Bari, the city where my husband’s late grandfather grew up. A week-long road trip along the “heel” of Italy’s boot will be the next trip I book.
With October finally over, we're entering my favorite time of the year. I love all things snowy, chilly, and holiday-esque, and have been mentally planning a trip to the Aurora Borealis Observatory for what seems like forever. Traveling in the winter season to cold destinations has always been a favorite of mine. Especially when you can warm yourself up after a day dog sledding or snowmobiling around the Arctic Circle with your outdoor fireplace and jacuzzi for the best seat under the sky to see the lights. Being surrounded by soft snow, reindeer, and of course the Northern Lights sounds like the perfect way to spend a vacation in the colder months.

The barbecue, the bibimbaps, the K-beauty buys, the hikes, those beautiful, traditional hanoks... my list of reasons to visit South Korea is ever expanding (my dog is even South Korean). It's calling my name.
