Enjoying a nightcap is always a nice way to unwind in your hotel room after a long day of exploring. Maybe you dip into the mini bar, or splurge and order up a drink. Well, The Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park, an American Express Fine Hotel & Resort property, has a slightly different idea when it comes to that evening cocktail. Their nightcap will cost $50,000.
What do you get for that five-figure price tag? Well, guests conclude an evening in the new cocktail lounge with two nightcaps “Reserve Cocktails” in a set of engraved keepsake Lalique crystal glasses. You’ll then be handed keys to The Royal Suite, one of the hotel’s most chic and expansive new suites, where a set of Slip silk eye masks are waiting to aid in a perfect night’s sleep.
But, that’s not all. Before you call it a night, you’ll get to experience La Prairie Spa without having to leave the comforts of your room as two in-suite Nighttime Rejuvenation treatments are included as well. After a good night’s sleep, you’ll get in-room breakfast, complimentary use of the house car for six hours a day, as well as a $200 credit for the hotel’s new all-day gastro lounge, Contour.
The over-the-top offering is to help celebrate the hotel’s completed renovation. The Club Lounge, La Prairie Spa, guest rooms and suites all saw overhauls while also debuting a new social dining experience with Contour, as well as added wellness and fitness areas. “The transformation our hotel has seen over the course of this past year truly redefines luxury in Manhattan,” said Winfred van Workum, general manager of The Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park, in a statement. “Combining a bold vision and inspiration with our legendary service, the vibrant energy of the city and Central Park shines through each of the spaces and provides a renewed oasis in the heart of New York City.”
If you don’t want to splurge on the pricey package, there is another option to enjoy a luxurious nightcap. As part of the same renovation celebration, the hotel is providing a complimentary Manhattan Minute to guests nightly in Contour. A nod to the traditional happy hour, guests will be invited each evening at 5:15 pm in Contour Bar Room to a cocktail showcase of how to make a classic New York City beverage – a Manhattan.
