It seems like hotels are all about pampering their four-legged guests as much as their two-legged ones lately. Kimpton Hotel Monaco in Denver recently launched their puppies and prosecco offering where they deliver adorable pups and bottle of bubbly to your room. And now a New York City property is giving pet lovers, and their furry friends, a way to remember their stays forever.
In celebration of National Dog Day on August 26, Moxy Times Square will host Ben Lenovitz, popular pet portraitist, at Bar Moxy to create custom pet portraits of your canine companion. Even if you don’t have a dog, Lenovitz is willing to whip on one of his famous creations that’s sure to hang in your home for many years to come. Best yet, fifty percent of all proceeds will benefit pups at Muddy Paws Rescues.
And that doesn’t have to be the only bonding time with your pooch. In addition, guests are invited to stay overnight by booking the “House Pet” package where your dog will receive a custom Moxy dog bowl to take home, an in-room doggie blanket, and a bag of treats—and humans receive complimentary breakfast. The package is available for stay dates from July 1 through September 5.
This is just the latest unique offering from the Moxy Hotel brand. Celebrity tattoo artist JonBoy set up his first shop in the lobby of the Times Square property. Moxy Chelsea is the first hotel to incorporate A.S.M.R. into a hotel room experience. And wellness enthusiasts visiting Moxy New Orleans can unwind during Acupuncture happy hour, hosted in the Living Room. The 20-minute mini sessions are paired with healthy elixirs—with or without the booze.
To reserve your spot with Lenovitz, email rsvp@moxytimessquare.com with P.E.T. in the subject. Portraits are $80 each, and the first three hotel guests to RSVP receive a free pet portrait.
