A Ground-Up Rebuild of Duba Plains Camp
After Great Plains Conservation opened the luxe, six-tent Duba Expedition Camp in April 2016, its 25-year-old Duba Plains Camps, located less than two miles away in Botswana’s Okavango Delta, suddenly looked tired. The only solution was to tear it down and rebuild a camp to rival the new sister property. On March 1, the new Duba Plains Camp debuts after a yearlong, ground-up rebuild. The intimate camp has five tents spanning nearly 1,300 square meters, plus a two-bedroom tented suite, all with ecofriendly air conditioning, rosewood decks, private plunge pools, and indoor and outdoor showers. The camp also provides guests with Canon professional camera equipment and Swarovski binoculars for views of wildlife from the comfort of their own kitchens. Guests can arrive in luxury via the new Great Plains Cessna Grand Caravan. Tents from $1,250; Suites from $6,000; greatplainsconservation.com.
