Chalet Maria Schnee: St. Anton, Austria

St. Anton should be on every serious skiers bucket list. It’s one of the snowiest regions in Europe and the place where ski instructor Johann “Hannes” Schneider first coined the Alberg Technique in 1907—a teaching method that’s still used around the world today. History is paramount to the three-story chalet Maria Schnee—the doors and floorboards in the library are 300-year-old oak planks. Guests can get cozy with a beer and the local cheese board served each evening. Centrally located its 10-minutes from the center of St. Anton.
