Chalet N: Oberlech, Austria

Amplified luxury is the mantra of the over-the-top Chalet N, which keeps a staff of 25 to support a 24-person capacity. (Unsurprisingly, it was—until recently—the world’s most expensive chalet.) Perched at 1,660 meters into the skyline, the views are unparalleled. The 1,900 square foot master bedroom includes an open fireplace, Hermès bath products and a choice of seven different pillow varieties. The elegant home also features a private cinema with plush sofas; a fully stocked bar; a wine cellar; swimming pool; and two outdoor hot tubs overlooking the snowy Alberg mountains. But the traffic-free, snow abundant Oberlech still manages to pull vacationers from these cozy indulgences; luckily, making it to the slopes couldn’t be easier, thanks to the home’s personal elevator delivering guests directly to the piste.
