With steep competition, a luxury hotel is only as good as it's best amenities, and the Dream Hotel in Hollywood has set the bar high.
With 178 stunningly designed rooms and suites, an impressive rooftop bar and a host of great restaurants (TAO Asian Bistro, Beauty & Essex, and Luchini Pizzeria), the hotel is home to an even more impressive display that sets it apart from the rest. At the top of the hotel by the rooftop lounge area, called The Highlight Room, is a pool that can transform into an expansive stage. With the push of a button, the pool transitions from an outside oasis to an extension of the surrounding deck.
According to Dream Hollywood's managing director Ayo Akinsete, the entire process takes about 12 minutes. With the help of industrial pistons, the floor of the pool slowly rises to expand the footprint of the hotel's rooftop deck, making it level with the space surrounding it.
The design is the only one of its kind in the United States to be used in a hotel and makes for a showstopping display. The $300,000 design allows for the already expansive bar, grill, and lounge area to make way for additional space for nightlife events or large parties.
While everything in Hollywood is a bit more glamorous, this hotel amenity really stands out.
