Sure, maybe you’ve snagged a bathrobe or high-end toiletries from a luxury hotel as a holiday keepsake. A custom portrait of yourself? Not so much. But, that’s precisely what one Dominican Republic hotel is offering as one-of-a-kind souvenir for their villa guests.
Villa de Campo, home to over 1,700 private villas located within the Casa de Campo resort, partnered with oil-painting experts Nobilified to offer a selection of luxury villa guests the opportunity to rent a vacation home that will come complete with hand-painted portraits of each guest. The company’s classically trained artists will paint the guests before their arrival and have the pieces hung throughout the villa during their stay. Guest can then take home the pieces after their trip.
What will the paintings look like? Each will be unique to the guests and the reason they’re visiting. The artwork will be inspired by events like a romantic couple retreat, a golf trip with the boys, or a family holiday. “Our aim is to capture one’s memories in art,” said Chris Jensen, the founder of Nobilified, in a statement. "We want guests of the villas to remember all the small things that made their holiday one to remember. When they get home, they will hang the piece, and each time they look at the piece, they will remember their holiday. We think that is special.”
Of course, that’s not the only over-the-top amenity villa guests get during their time at the luxurious resort located in La Romana. Spread over 7,000 acres, the resort features three award-winning golf courses, a marina, a clay pigeon shooting center, an equestrian center, a spa, tennis courts, pools, and restaurants. You also get a complimentary golf cart to cruise around the property and a dedicated holiday concierge who will help book a personal chef or schedule activities.
