Nearly one million people gather in Times Square to view the iconic New Year's Eve Ball Drop. And while it's a festive bucket list experience, it can also be a pretty uncomfortable one. You have to stand for hours in the cold (sometimes in the rain and snow) with little to eat just to be part of that magical midnight countdown. But, there is one way to view the live event in total comfort. It's just going to cost you.

This year, The Knickerbocker is hosting an exclusive rooftop party where only guests of the legendary hotel can experience the closest, unrestricted live view of the spectacle in the world. Yes, you can celebrate the new year just 150 feet from the dazzling Times Square Ball constructed by Waterford Crystal, for a cool $150,000.

Aside from getting some serious bragging rights with the other-the-top, the package comes with numerous amenities and luxe extras. You get VIP access to the extravagant New Year's Eve party on the rooftop that is perched above Times Square giving you a bird's eye view of the crowds below and a perfect line of sight to the ball above. What's more, is you'll get the most exclusive spot on the entire rooftop as one of only three illuminated Sky Pods is reserved entirely for you. Basically, it's your box seats in the sky for the most-watched event in the world.

Plus, while waiting for the famous ball drop, you'll get hors d'oeuvres curated by acclaimed chef Charlie Palmer, a buffet dinner at Charlie Palmer at the Knick, live entertainment throughout the night, bottle service of top-shelf liquor, and a dedicated butler to bring you anything you might need for the night. Of course, a champagne toast at midnight is included as well. And drinks are served in Waterford glassware that can even be personalized night-of for the ultimate souvenir.

And don't worry about getting cold; luxury velour throws and hand warmers are a part of the package too. Fun party favors including hats and noisemakers will also be made available to get in the festive spirit.

Finally, after your long night of celebrating, you just have to head inside to your luxury accommodations in one of The Knick's four spectacular Tribute Suites, each inspired by a Knickerbocker legend—the Caruso Suite, the Cohan Suite, the Martini Suite, or the Parrish Suite. From here you can unwind while still getting spectacular Times Square views below.

Honestly, can you think of a better way to ring in 2020?
