Where to Celebrate a Galentine’s Day Weekend
We are closing in on the most wonderful holiday of the year. And no, we aren’t talking about Christmas or New Year’s Eve. We’re of course talking about Galentine’s Day.
For those not in the know, Galentine’s Day is a celebration of female friendships that falls on February 13, the day before Valentine’s Day. First created by Amy Poehler's Parks and Rec character Leslie Knope, the day is meant to be all-things female.
"Oh, it's only the best day of the year,” Knope explained in an episode. “Every February 13th, my lady friends and I leave our husbands and our boyfriends at home, and we just come and kick it, breakfast-style. Ladies celebrating ladies. It's like Lilith Fair, minus the angst. Plus frittatas."
But, you don’t have to relegate this celebration to just one day. Here are eight places you and your girlfriends can go spend a three-day weekend in honor of Galentine’s Day.
