When a helicopter is involved, it must be.

New York City is known for its Sunday brunch scene. The mid-morning meal can range from casual bites with pals to full-blown extravaganzas with a DJ and sparklers. But, the most epic brunch is just about to launch giving a whole new meaning to Sunday Funday.

Over the next six weekends, hospitality leader Gerber Group and BLADE (the Uber of helicopters) have teamed up to create a weekend experience that involves a helicopter and JFK's newly opened TWA Hotel as well as avocado toast. You'll start your Sunday with a complimentary drink in the BLADE Lounge at West 30th Street in Manhattan, followed by the shortest Manhattan commute ever—a five-minute flight to the retro-inspired TWA hotel.

Upon arrival, guests will be escorted to their table at the Pool Bar for a yummy brunch where you can choose from items like a grain bowl with roasted beets, broccoli, tahini and greens, fish tacos or a burger. After, take a dip in the rooftop pool all while taking in views of JFK's runway.

"When you live in a city like New York, you're constantly looking for the hottest new restaurants, but up until now, you've been limited to what's a close taxi or subway ride away," Patrick Albano, Chief Revenue Officer, BLADE, told Departures. "BLADE is making helicopter travel more accessible, so now a destination like the TWA Hotel is just a five-minute flight away, making for an easy day trip and an unforgettable experience."

The price tag for the unique experience? It's $390 per person and includes the round-trip flight in a BELL 407 helicopter (seats six passengers each), complimentary brunch (not including gratuity), complimentary pool access, and ground transportation between the helipad at JFK and TWA Hotel.

While this might seem pricey for a meal, it's somewhat of a deal seeing as a one-way blade ride from Manhattan to JFK goes for $250, minimum. So this $390 breaks down to $195 each way, not to mention the free drinks before the ride and full comp brunch.

"BLADE provides an unrivaled offering to urban jet setters, and The Pool Bar at The TWA Hotel is the perfect place to land for great food and cocktails around the infinity pool," Scott Gerber, CEO, and Principal, Gerber Group, told us. "We've had an amazing response for the Blade Brunch at the Pool Bar so far and are very excited to offer the ultimate Sunday Funday experience to our guests."
