Best known for his molded plastic chairs, Verner Panton also created some dazzling lighting. "They're not just lamps," says Evan Snyderman, whose R20th Century Gallery in New York's TriBeCa sells about half of the 25 pieces Panton made. "They are three-dimensional sculptures that glow." And sell, evidently: Snyderman can't keep them in stock. "They're now hanging in some of the most important contemporary art collections in New York. For many people, it's the first Panton lighting they've seen outside of a book." $7,500-$70,000. At 82 Franklin St.; 212-343-7979; www.r20thcentury.com.
