Stoke Park Club is a former country estate turned hotel in Buckinghamshire. It's also where Hugh Grant took Renée Zellweger for the weekend in Bridget Jones's Diary. And now it has opened its own spa with some 100 treatments: an SK-II facial, a massage performed by two therapists at once, and a separate regimen for men. Treatments can be spotty (my masseuse might as well have been applying sunscreen), so I'd give the spa a while to settle in, unless you book a weekend when trainer Peter Crone flies in from Paris. He whipped Elizabeth Hurley into shape post-baby. Rooms, $425-$1,735. 44-175-371-7171; www.spaspc.com.

Hotel prices show high-season rates from the least expensive double to the most expensive suite.
