It's worth a trip to Jardim Botânico—the neighborhood on the other side of the Lagoa district from Ipanema—for one of the most creative Italian menus in the city and great service (which is not always a given here). Quadrifoglio does something called "magic ravioli" and we know why: It's stuffed with apples and poppy seeds and covered in a silky butter sauce. The rest of the pastas are just as memorable, among them the tamarind tagliatelle with dried mushroom risotto. Dinner, $85. At 19 Rua J. J. Seabra; 55-21/2294-1433.
