Right now, the most sought-after table in Sydney is at Icebergs Dining Room and Bar, a chicly minimal restaurant in the Icebergs swim club overlooking Bondi Beach. With a nod to the swimming pool and sea below, Icebergs is done up in aqua and lavender, with vertical blue-green glass panels and sea-green benches and banquettes. The menu is a vibrant blend of Australian and Mediterranean: The spicy Tasmanian black mussels with chorizo and tomato are excellent, as is the grilled barramundi with clams, white wine, and farro. Our favorite? The marinated and salt-crusted rib-eye steak. Book two weeks in advance. Dinner, $110. At One Notts Ave., Bondi Beach; 61-2-9365-9000; www.idrb.com.

Restaurant prices reflect a three-course dinner for two, excluding beverages and gratuity.
