When home movies aren't enough, there's Moving Memoirs, a company that creates professionally produced 20-minute movies about the life of a loved one. Created by Susan Neisloss, a former broadcast journalist, Moving Memoirs' movies are on a par with, say, an A&E Biography—and have a price tag to match: $10,000. But results are stunning. Neisloss researches the family, interviewing parents, siblings, and friends, and draws out stories long forgotten or never told. She then turns her footage over to an editor, who weaves it together with photos, old home movies, and the subject's favorite music. $ 310-393-1338; www.movingmemoirs.com.
