When Alexandra Knight couldn't find the perfect black alligator clutch, she made her own. Now her line of chic accessories includes shoulder bags, belts, and, yes, clutches in colors like pink, green, white, and cognac (matte or glazed). Knight, who worked as a fashion editor in New York, sells from her Houston showroom and through shops in Dallas and New York. "I wanted to do something that would pass the New York critics," she says, "but also fly in Texas." Bags are $450-$6,000; 888-792-8848; www.alexandraknightonline.com.
