Only a handful of the 1967 Bizzarrini P-538 were produced, and Giotto Bizzarrini, an automotive maestro who designed for Alfa Romeo and Ferrari before striking out on his own in 1965, built this particular chassis 002 model himself. "It has his brushstrokes right on it," says the current owner, Van Horneff. The car has a black leather interior and is one of two in America—and one of four in the world—that has a 4-liter Lamborghini V-12 engine. It's expected to go for between $800,000 and $1.5 million at New York's first annual Rand/Workman Fine Motor Auction & Luxury Lifestyle Expo, held September 9 to 11.
