Heather Wiese-Alexander's background as an art director for Neiman Marcus is stamped all over her new line of letterpress stationery. For Bell'Invito, the 31-year-old Dallas designer uses note cards in heavy stock, pressed with a motif like a tiny giraffe or an elephant, along with envelopes lined in Japanese chiyogami. Wiese-Alexander also employs nontraditional shapes and cuts, as in her collection of wedding invitations that come enclosed in a book covered with chocolate-colored cloth. If the "ready-to-wear" line doesn't push the envelope enough, there's Bell'Invito Couture: For one bride's shower, Wiese-Alexander printed a quote from Bridget Jones's Diary onto tea bags.
