Asian carriers are upgrading business-class services. Japan Airlines (round trip NYC-Tokyo, $7,252) has added flat-bed seats to its Executive Class, which also includes video on demand. Cathay Pacific (NYC-Hong Kong, $7,142) has added USB ports to its new flat-bed seats (with cotton and silk pillowcases). And the most promising: Singapore Airlines' (NYC-Singapore, $8,560) "SpaceBeds" fold out into a double bed. In addition to audio and video on demand, Singapore has also improved food service, cooking meals to order rather than reheating.
