Eight great restaurants in New York that place as much emphasis on nutrition as they do on high design and ambience—without skimping on flavor.

Little Beet Table
Following the success of his gluten-free Midtown cafeteria The Little Beet, chef Franklin Becker opened Little Beet Table, a dressed-up, full service version of the original, in Gramercy. Old fans will welcome Becker’s way with market vegetables (roasted carrots with whipped ricotta, sumac, and pistachios), while newcomers can guiltlessly indulge in prosciutto flatbread amid low lighting and soigné diners. For a salubrious twist on the soda, opt for one of their house-made soft drinks, like the addictive Orange Pop, a fizzy blend of citrus zest, sichuan peppercorn, cardamom, and soda water.
