A century after its invention, bartenders around Singapore are recreating the classic cocktail in new, innovative, and exceedingly delicious ways.

The Singapore Sling at The Halia at Raffles Singapore
The Raffles Hotel is currently home to a whopping nine restaurants and bars, including the Long Bar, which—as the cocktail’s birthplace—still serves the original the Singapore Sling. But the on-property Halia—the second location of the popular restaurant located inside the Singapore Botanic Gardens—whipped up its own interpretation of the iconic cocktail. Glossy black-and-white tiles, rough-hewn wood communal tables, bright-red tufted leather couches, and beautiful plants throughout give the garden-style bar a cozy atmosphere. To complement the space’s green interiors, the Sling here harnesses the rose and cucumber notes of Hendricks gin to give the cocktail a fabulous floral profile, while a secret citrus ingredient punches up the drink even more than original. 1 Beach Rd.; 65/9639-1148; thehalia.com.
