In August, Ireland debuts its first luxury train, the Belmond Grand Hibernian, with two itineraries that leave Dublin for four- or six-night tours of the country’s greatest hits, from Blarney Castle to the Cliffs of Moher. The train will also offer a two-night trip from Dublin to Northern Ireland. Starting in 2017, the train will run from April to October. Its 20 rooms and two restaurants, Sligo and Wexford (pictured), are named for Irish counties and decorated with their tartans. Large windows throughout the carriages enhance the ride. Rooms from $3,540 per person; 800-524-2420; belmond.com.
