Chewton Glen Opens a Cooking School
The U.K.’s foodie-focused country house hotel, Chewton Glen, ups its gastronomy game this April with the Kitchen, a new culinary complex comprised of a cooking school, restaurant, bakery, produce garden, open kitchen, and more. Chef Rob Cottam and U.K. celebrity chef James Martin are the masterminds behind the multi-concept space built from the old entry house to the Chewton grounds. Guests and non-guests can book courses at the state of the art cooking school and reservations at the 42-seat restaurant. Guests will also have access to the property’s heritage apple orchard, 50 live-working beehives, and raised beds and a greenhouse surrounding the building. Classes are geared to all-ages and touch on topics like cheese making, foraging, pickling, and flavors of the Middle East.
