The Alpina Gstaad, Switzerland
The Alpina Gstaad opened in December 2012, a chalet set in a stunning location in the Swiss Alps. Many guests spend their days on the slopes, but evenings bring gourmet meals, relaxation in well-appointed rooms built from reclaimed timber and films in the underground cinema. With space for 14 people (and beanbag chairs for kids), the intimate room is equipped to screen 2-D and 3-D movies. Guests can even watch their own footage, curling up on the outsized sofas under provided blankets for an appropriately cozy viewing experience. Promenade 54; 41-33/888-9888; thealpinagstaad.ch.
