Jaguar F-Type Coupé

The Jaguar F-Type Coupé comes in three variants: two with powerful V-6 engines (the F-Type and the F-Type S) and an R version featuring a turbocharged, 550-horsepower V-8. (A convertible option debuted in 2012.) They all have plenty of zip, with top speeds north of 160 miles per hour. But unless you’re logging track time—we did a few laps at the middle-of-nowhere Motorland Aragón track in Spain just to witness the hidden rear spoiler deploy at speed—the feature you may come to appreciate most is a new torque vectoring system that applies a subtle bit of braking when needed to get the car through corners quickly and safely. In addition to the lightweight attributes therein, the all-aluminum chassis construction allows Jaguar to dispense with B-pillars (those vertical supports between the front- and back-seat windows) in favor of a long, appealing roofline that flows unimpeded from the front to the rear.
