There’s pretty much a subscription box service for everything. You can get clothes, toys and even meals delivered directly to your home. But one company might have just created the best box of all: luxury items from France.
Francophiles swoon over French style, design and food though have a harder time accessing those coveted items due to a home base outside the chic country. My Stylish French Box sought to change that by creating a luxury quarterly subscription box service that’s curated by famed author and French lifestyle expert Sharon Santoni.
Four times per year (once a season) you’ll get a themed box that contains six to eight products exclusively from French brands. Many of these products, ranging from decor and cooking to antiques and beauty, are not sold anywhere else but France. Past boxes have included a jacquard scarf from Letol, necklace from Bohm, mug from the Faïencerie de Gien, pochette from Le Pompon, a scented candle from Fragonard, an antique napkin, a beret from Le Béret Français, and a notebook from Constance Desanti Papeterie.
You have a choice of subscriptions including a quarterly option for $255 every three months (delivered February, May, August, and November) or a one-time gift box for $265. There are also specialty boxes such as Artisans of France Rose Et Marius for $245-$250 and Heirloom Wedding Box for $500.
The Wedding Box is based on the French tradition of a “trousseau,” where women would collect things in a box to take with them when they married and on their honeymoon. “This box includes lots of little special touches,” reads the website. “The linen travel bags are hand-embroidered by the designer in southern France with the bride’s initials. And each set of champagne flutes and antique jewelry box is unique. A personalized note from you can be included.”
Clearly, the idea has already proven to be popular as the August box is sold out and the November box is the next one available.
