Mounir Saouma of Lucien Le Moine, a wine producer based in Burgundy, is teaming up with the Institut Curie to raise some major money for cancer research. Founded in 1920, Marie Curie’s institute will be celebrating 100 years of research and education in 2020.
The shining star of the lot is the 29-bottle collection of fine wines from various producers, including a bottle of Cristal Louis Roederer 2007. (You can find a full list of the wines below). According to the release, the highest bidder will also receive a “morning tour at Lucien Le Moine of Grand Cru from Clos de Bèze to Montrachet, followed by lunch for two in the Beaune cellar prepared by a Michelin star chef.” The tasting will include 16 Grands Crus, from Clos de Vougeot to Batard.
The bidding is currently at $90,250––if Mounir Saouma of Lucien Le MOine and the Itstitut Curie are not satisfied with the bids, they will consider auctioning off each element of the lot separately in an effort to raise more funds. Remember: All of the money raised will be going toward cancer research, treatment, and education.
