New York philanthropist and dance fanatic Patsy Tarr has, with her 2wice Arts Foundation’s iPad app, found a way to bring choreographers’ works to a stage far more immediate than that of Lincoln Center. Published in three iterations so far (starring, most recently, dancer and choreographer Tom Gold), each features a dance sequence filmed in close-up. “I’m not trying to replace concert dance,” says Tarr, 65, “but an app allows a choreographer to get his or her work seen globally.” Available in the iTunes App Store.
