The COVID-19 pandemic has been especially hard on restaurants and workers in the food and beverage industry. And in effort to support the best restaurants across the country, American Express and Resy have partnered with them to help foodies feel safe while indulging in an unique culinary experience. American Express and Resy are curating outdoor and at-home dining experiences with 15 restaurants across 13 cities. The exclusive activations, happening throughout the holiday season, range from al fresco dining in heated yurts to chef-curated holiday cookie spreads available for purchase.

First, let’s talk about these luxe yurt dining opportunities. American Express and Resy are debuting The Yurt Villages, exclusively for American Express Card Members from December 3, 2020 to February 28, 2021. The heated tents, all custom designed, will be at 13 top restaurants from Brooklyn to Savannah to Seattle. Favorite restaurants like Charter Oak in Napa Valley, Crown Shy, and Fairfax in New York City, and Zahav in Philadelphia will debut exclusive culinary programming for three months of open-air yurt dining.

American Express Platinum Card and Centurion Members have early access to reservations starting November 16 through Resy.com/yurtvillages. They will also have access to specialty dining add-ons, like the s’mores course at Canlis in Seattle. After 48 hours of early reservation access for Platinum Card and Centurion Members, all American Express Card Members can reserve on Resy starting November 18.

Beyond The Yurt Village, American Express and Resy are also hosting Winter Patios with Major Food Group, only in New York City. Outdoor dining at two Major Food Group restaurants—Carbone and Sadelle’s—will only be available to American Express Card Members. Card Members can book the rare, exclusive dining packages via Resy.

Finally, for those not ready to return to restaurants, American Express and Resy have virtual dining experiences (available on Resy’s Events page) and delectable culinary collections to enjoy at home. Both are curated in collaboration with renowned chefs—including American Express Global Dining Collection chefs like José Andrés, Nancy Silverton, Michael Solomonov, and Enrique Olvera. Some of the chefs will host virtual cooking classes, while others will contribute to The Resy Cookie Box, which dessert fans can order for home delivery at Resy.com/cookies as of December 1. Between gathering the family for an once-in-a-lifetime al fresco winter dining experience at the likes of Zahav or Carbone, and tucking in to a box of Christmas cookies baked by the most revered chefs in America, these offerings promise to make this holiday season one to remember.
