Thom Browne, the exacting menswear talent who New York Magazine once dubbed the person who will “save the suit from extinction,” has turned his attention to what’s underfoot.

The Cable Knit, one of his three new designs for The Rug Company, is made by hand in Nepal and implements a new technique: An intricate pattern inspired by an Aran jumper is carved out of a solid wool rug using shears.
