Material Comforts: Our Favorite New Home Furnishings This Fall
A definitive guide to this season’s best designs

This fall, there are plenty of luxe pieces to covet for every room in the house—from must-have new fabrics (F. Schumacher, Paul Smith for Maharam) to a totemic grandfather clock from Brit Lee Broom. See our favorites, here.

Foscarini Table Lamp
With Filo, an eccentric new table lamp by Foscarini, Italian artist-cum-designer Andrea Anastasio wanted form and function on the same footing. To do that, he took elements traditionally associated with lamps, such as blown glass and porcelain (a nod to the brand’s roots in Murano), and dangled them like charms on a bracelet. The textile-covered cable is wrapped around a metal hook and ends with an LED bulb shielded by a porcelain cone. “I wanted to stress the importance of decoration,” he says, “using it as a kind of language.” The Filo comes in eight cord–bauble combinations. $550; foscarini.com. —Amy Serafin
