Change of Season

Sloane Crosley picks out the best new books to take you from summer to fall.

One of the quickest ways to decorate a room is by adding a bookshelf, but sometimes plain wood slabs can give off too much of a dusty academic vibe. Roche Bobois’s Mic Mac rotating bookcase, from its new spring collection, is the opposite of drab, with its fire-engine-red rigid polyurethane construction with a matte lacquer finish. Created by Roche Bobois designer Philippe Bouix, the shelves are four and a half feet with three components, or a little over six feet with four, and each level of the bookcase pivots to either show or hide the book display.
