Joining the likes of luxury brands such as Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein, Gucci is entering the homeware sector with a new décor line. Spearheaded by creative director Alessandro Michele, the collection—cushions, candles, incense trays, plates, serving trays, tables, chairs, silk screens, and wallpaper—pays homage to his most celebrated designs, with an abundance of floral-and-animalia motifs in vibrant patterns throughout. The pieces, available on Gucci.com, BergdorfGoodman.com, and in select stores starting in September, range from $190 to just under $30,000. Read on for a first look at the collection, along with a glimpse of painter and illustrator Alex Merry’s commissioned illustration.
