We tapped tastemakers of all stripes—from designer Carolina Hererra to television journalist Tamron Hall—to reveal the florists they trust for their most meaningful events.

Event Planner
I have my own florist, Marko Matijas. I love simple flowers like sweet peas and gardenias in big bouquets. My rule about centerpieces is that they have to be low so you can see across the table. I collect old and new bottles to put flowers in. They are so beautiful I don’t think they need help. All you need is a simple vessel.
L. Becker Flowers
Susan Gutfreund
Socialite
I have a man I respect very much named L. Becker, with whom I’ve worked for 30 years. It’s a very personal preference, like choosing a decorator or a dressmaker. He’s never over-the-top, and his containers are always elegant. I don’t use flowers for centerpieces. I don’t like the scent of flowers to conflict with the food. I use porcelain flowers from France.
International Garden Inc.
Tamron Hall
TV Journalist
One of the things I discovered when I moved to New York was the wholesale flower district. I get my flowers at International Garden, a small, nondescript place. I get a delivery every Friday, and I arrange them myself. I have been on morning television for a long time. I have learned a lot about DIY that does not look DIY.

Vanessa Noel
Shoe Designer
My all-time favorite florist is Miho Kosuda. Her sensibility with color, shape, and texture is second to none. She is a true artist. Around the corner from where I live is a very lovely florist, Rosa Rosa, that keeps my home filled with orchids. I often Uber down to the flower market for extra wonderful cuts of Casablanca lilies and extremely long-stemmed white French tulips.
Kurt Rausch LLC
Carolina Herrera
Designer
For centerpieces I enlist Miho Kosuda. My butler, Nestor, makes arrangements for my home. He’s a genius. For my office, it depends on the event. We work with Kurt Rausch, as he works well with no direction. For gifts, I normally call Miho or Prudence Designs and ask for all-white, tightly bundled bouquets.
RAÚL ÀVILA INC
Aerin Lauder
Founder, Aerin
Raúl Avila and Zezé are my two go-tos. I love to fill my office and my home with fresh flowers and plants. My choice usually depends on the season, occasion, and placement of where the flowers will be displayed. Typically I use one type of flower or color in each vase. Gold or textured white vases serve as a neutral that adds a festive accent.
