Beauty’s Big Fight

Though the leaves have already begun changing from green to their perennial ensemble of red, orange, gold and brown, these dusky shades aren’t the season’s only defining color palette.

Thanks to a slew of breast cancer awareness campaigns popping up throughout October, pink is the hue to look for this fall.

One of our favorite initiatives painting cities around the world pink this month is the Estée Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign (BCA), benefiting The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). Founded in 1992 by Evelyn H. Lauder, the BCA crusade has raised more than $53 million to support research, education and medical services worldwide.

This year, the campaign turns to four women and their families who have, together, overcome breast cancer. In sharing their stories with the world in the form of moving, documentary-style videos, the campaign seeks to create a forum of support for others to voice how the disease has affected them and their loved ones. As the second-most commonly diagnosed cancer in the world, which also represents one in four of all cancer cases in women globally, this cause—like the others organized around the affliction worldwide—finds its strength in numbers.

With this in mind, 15 brands have joined Estée Lauder Companies BCA fight by offering their own, limited-edition Pink Ribbon products to benefit BCRF’s research. (Every $25 earned for the campaign funds one half-hour of research, while each $250,000 raised supports a research project for an entire year.)

From skincare therapies for men to perfumes for women, here are seven of our favorite products from the campaign.
