Los Angeles: Broken Spanish
After much anticipation, Broken Spanishhas moved into John Sedlar’s former Rivera restaurant space between the Pico-Union and Downtown areas of Los Angeles. The kitchen is helmed by chef Ray Garcia, who’s offering his take on Modern L.A.-Mexican cuisine, with dishes like lamb neck tamales with Oaxaca cheese, and chiles rellenos made with poblano, potato, lemon soubise, and, just because it’s California, kale. 1050 S. Flower St.; 213-749-1460.
