A Mother’s Day Must: Brunch at High-End Hotels

This year, skip the stress of crafting the perfect breakfast in bed at home and let the chefs at these top-notch hotels take care of the menu instead. Turn it into a mini-staycation and stay the night for a romantic getaway, or simply enjoy a lavish spread the whole afternoon. Here, a few of our favorite bi-coastal options.

The Ritz Carlton, San Francisco

Chef Michael Rotondo, who formerly worked with Charlie Trotter in Chicago, is preparing a feast fit for a queen at Parallel 37 at the Ritz Carlton San Francisco. Rotondo will be whipping up bright, springtime dishes like strawberry gazpacho with roasted pepper, mint, and toasted almonds, or the Guam Ranch frittata with peas, morels, bacon, sheep’s milk. This weekend, the Ritz adds a touch of grace to the Sunday ritual ($115 per guest) by sending moms home with a bouquet of fresh flowers and a house made cupcake. For couples looking to turn the holiday into a weekend getaway, the property is also offering a Mother’s Day Dine and Unwind package, which includes brunch for two and an overnight stay at one of the hotel’s newly renovated rooms (from $599 per night).
