London: Albert Adrià Makes His Way to the U.K.

For the first time in 30 years, acclaimed chef Albert Adrià will be popping-up outside his mother country of Spain. For fifty days starting February 12, he'll be bringing his famous modernist cuisine to London's Hotel Café Royal. Though tickets for the dinners, which run until April 9, are already sold out, there are still reservations available for the special cocktail menu he's offering at the hotel's Oscar Wilde Bar each night of the residency. Developed by Adrià and group bar manager Marc Álvarez, the cocktail menu will take its cue from the chef's inventive food, incorporating ingredients and techniques from all over the world in drinks like the Nam Doc, a combination of rum, mango, spicy orange curaçao, white almond syrup, and curry. And there’s more to look forward to this year from Adrià, too: the chef plans to open another restaurant, Enigma, in 2016 in Barcelona, where his other high end restaurants—Tickets Bar, Pakta, Bodega 1800, Hoja Santa, and Nina Viejo—reside. 68 Regent St., London, U.K.; 44-20/7406-3333; 50daysbyalbertadria.com.
